Office 365 generates a team site where colleaques can collaborate on documents and share information. The team site is maintained using Microsoft SharePoint Online, where the team can store documents in one location.
Storing documents on SharePoint Online helps maintain security, allows version control, and gives you the option to edit and view the documents in Office desktop apps or Office Web Apps . In addition to collaborating on documents, users can also share images, lists and blogs.
You can still use the Microsoft Office desktop apps on your computer. You can connect a variety of mobile devices that can synchronize information with Office 365 using the device to send and receive email and access calendar information.
