This course is designed for new users of Adobe ImageReady
Course Duration
This is a 1 day course and starts at 09:30 and runs until 16:30

This course can be run Onsite, at our training centre or any preferred location in the UK. The course is run on a date that suits you! We do not run public scheduled courses.

Optimising Images
- Optimisation theory
- Optimise JPEG and GIF files
- Consider the balance between file size and quality
- Adjust the amount of dithering applied to an image
- Create a hypertext image map
- ImageReady HTML
- Batch process files
Graphics for Slices and Roll Overs
- Slice an image using four different methods
- Optimise each image slice using various settings and file formats
- Create slices for text and HTML
- Create rollover buttons in a banner
- Apply a warped text style for a rollover
- Show or hide certain layers in the image when a rollover button is in its Over or Down state (Swap Image Behaviour)
- Generate a HTML page that contains the sliced image in a table
Designing a Web Page
- Create and annotate a PDF file in Photoshop
- Open the PDF in ImageRead
- Create a layout grid for the page
- Import text into the layout
- Format tex
- Import and open graphics into the layout
- Edit and resize graphics
- Use the Photoshop file as a tracing image in ImageReady and Dreamweaver
Dynamic Web Pages

Creating Animations
- Open a multi-layered image to use for the animation
- Use the Layers palette in conjunction with the Animation palette to create animation sequences
- Make changes to single frames, multiple frames and an entire animation
- Use the Tween command to automatically vary layer opacity and position across frames
- Preview animations in ImageReady and in a Web browser
- Open and edit an existing GIF image
- Optimise the animation using the Optimise palette
